The Agilent 6220 TOF LCMS system allows high-resolution mass measurement of analyte ions generated by electrospray or other methods with 1-5 ppm accuracy (0.0005-0.0025 amu for a 500 MW compound) suitable for publication or elemental composition determination. In addition, due to the simultaneous sampling of all masses in a 100-2000 amu range, the sensitivity of time-of-flight instruments exceeds that of quadrupole LCMS detectors by 1000- 10,000 fold for the 6220 TOF, and >106 fold for the new 6550 TOF.
